Abdomial Ultrasound

An order from your physician is required for this exam. An ultrasound of the abdomen is used to provide images of the abdominal organs. A complete abdominal ultrasound will include images of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, aorta, IVC, kidneys and spleen. A limited abdominal ultrasound would evaluate a specific organ, or an area of concern, such as a hernia or appendix.
